Such slurs are often aimed at his age. Whereas racism, sexism and other “isms” are seen as cause for cancellation, ageism continues to be viewed as humorous.
So why isn’t it equally funny when so-called “Uncle Joe” hits that ball right back over the net? If he so much as fires one angry retort, condemnation reigns.
Although two wrongs don’t make a right, an apology sometimes does. At least President Biden was mature enough to apologize. The same cannot be said for many of his crude detractors.
