Securing Social Security

In some cultures, elders are revered.  After all, we're standing upon their shoulders.

When these shoulders grow brittle and weary, helping those who helped us seems only right.  Securing social security is one way of doing so, a way that is vital to the financial survival of many.

For years, social security has not kept up with inflation.  In seeking to lessen the gap, House Representative John Larson is calling for a change.  He’s proposing “an overhaul” to COLA calculations, as well as a payroll tax on “the wealthiest Americans.”  Such a tax would help to keep the program financially viable.
