Now that's hot! (USGS photo) |
Scientists have recently discovered the existence of a newly-formed exoplanet, dubbed 2MO437 (but you can call it “Moe”). This young’un is especially important because it helps to “shed new light on the origin of the Solar System and Earth.”
Although millions of years in the making, “Moe” is an infant by astronomical standards. In fact, its original energy has not yet fully dissipated, making it as hot as Kilauea lava.
