'Lake' Jezero

A lot can change in 3.7 billion years.  A lake can become a crater, and an entire planet can become arid.

Scientists are still trying to figure out why this occurred on Mars.  They now have photographic evidence that the Jezero Crater was not only a lake, but also one that “endured flash floods.”

Perhaps when rock samples from NASA’s Perseverance are analyzed, ancient clues will emerge.  Perhaps  these clues will even show signs of past life…
