How is it that a fighter with an “8-16 overall” record is paired with “an opponent who held an 11-1 at the time…” Is it any wonder that the 8-16 underdog was knocked out in “just 19 seconds...”
And that was only the beginning of Justin Thornton’s tragic slide into death. He was reportedly “hospitalized for weeks” with “a spinal cord injury” that resulted in partial paralysis. At age 38 he then died, presumably not from natural causes.
