WHO says what?

After listening to numerous conflicting reports about COVID-19, it’s difficult to decipher who says what.

Nevertheless, it’s now easy to know what WHO really says.  Although the public has been told that a magical-sounding vaccine is right around the bend, the World Health Organization isn’t as convinced.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus recently declared that “there might never be” that “silver bullet” we all hope for.  Such vaccines need to be “safe and effective,” and we don’t yet have proof of that.  They also need to provide protection for longer than just “a few months.”  We don’t yet know this either.

Wishing and hoping for an instant cure might prove disappointing at best, and deadly at worst.  Taking known protective steps right now could make a huge positive impact.
