If you can’t stand the heat, get out of Death Valley. Hopefully alive.
Back in 1913, the World Meteorological Organization clocked 134 degrees Fahrenheit there. We’d like to think that was then and this is now, but now is quickly approaching then.
Just yesterday, a California weather station at Furnace Creek (appropriately named) measured 130 degrees Fahrenheit. But summer’s not over yet. This could easily become 130 and counting…
