New South Wales Highways (Map by Bidgee) |
When the
overnight low is 96.6⁰ F, you know you’ve
got a problem. Such was
recently the case in New South Wales,
where the daytime high was
greater than 114⁰
F.
This heat
wave has now lasted over five
days. It has also been felt in
other parts of the continent, such as
Queensland and Victoria. These intense
conditions “have triggered
wildlife deaths, wildfires and an
uptick in hospital admissions.”
