High Above in Down Under

New South Wales Highways  (Map by Bidgee)
While regions of North America are bracing for winter storms, regions of Down Under are experiencing high-above-average temperatures.

When the overnight low is 96.6⁰ F, you know you’ve got a problem.  Such was recently the case in New South Wales, where the daytime high was greater than 114 F.

This heat wave has now lasted over five days.  It has also been felt in other parts of the continent, such as Queensland and Victoria.  These intense conditions “have triggered wildlife deaths, wildfires and an uptick in hospital admissions.”
