You Snooze, They Lose

Most of us know that falling asleep at the wheel is a no-no.  However, falling asleep at the DMV may be perfectly acceptable, even if you’re a paid employee.

It seems that one such civil servant has been clocking three hours of nap time per “work day” (so to speak) without penalty.  This has amounted to a not-so-grand total of 2,200

non-productive hours “between February 2014 and December 2017.”

Thousands of hours mean thousands of dollars.  Tax dollars.  Chances are that these were earned by citizens who were not asleep at the time.
