Revenge is Not Sweet

A Croc Farm   (Photo by MartinRe)
Revenge may be occasionally necessary, but   it is far from sweet.

When a crocodile killed an Indonesian caretaker at a so-called conservation farm,     his entire village turned out to seek revenge.  "Armed with knives, hammers and clubs," they
mercilessly slaughtered every last crocodile, resulting in 292 heaped-up bloody carcasses.

This farm had been granted a license on condition that “the reptiles did not disturb the community.”  One certainly did.  But does that mean they should all be ruthlessly butchered?  Genocidal logic seems heinous for humans, crocodiles and all of God's creatures.
