What about the rest of the year?

Segregating out a Women’s History Month could imply that women are not an integral part of overall history.  Same with Black History Month for African-Americans.

Morgan Freeman said back in 2005:  I don't want a Black History Month.  Black history is American history.  Historian Nancy Goldstone extends this point by saying:  Women’s history is world history. 

Goldstone goes on to explain that the accomplishments “of powerful women of the distant past are still almost totally
unrecognized.”  She cites the example of Queen Catherine de Medici, who is more known for bringing “fine cuisine to France” than she is for slaughtering thousands of Huguenots in Paris…
