Saturday Night can be better than that

When you rile up a crowd with lyrics fueled by “a belly full of beer,” why be offended when that energy comes back to bite you?

Elton John, not known for setting prim and proper examples, recently walked off stage mid-song because of unruly audience behavior.  Guess which song was interrupted?  Yup - the infamous “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.”

When fans became “a little too rambunctious for his taste,” John confronted them with a schoolmarm lecture.  He blamed them entirely, saying:  No more coming on stage on ‘Saturday Night.’

Perhaps John should have instead promised, “I’ll no longer be singing the praises of drunken barroom brawls.”
