Cutting through all sorts of tape

Traditional Red Tape  (Photo by Jarek Tuszynski)
When Waffle House employee Evoni Williams compassionately cut an elderly customer’s food into bite-sized pieces, she cut through way more than that.

This 18-year-old waitress cut through all sorts of social barriers:  young vs. old, black vs. white, frail vs. strong. A nearby witness recorded this "generous act" for others to see.  It soon “went viral” on social media.

"Instant karma" went into effect.  Some of the 47,000 media shares reached Texas Southern University.  Williams was then awarded a $16,000 scholarship to TSU.

It just goes to show: What goes around can come around in wonderful ways.
