Turn the Other Jaw

Not Cora, but cute anyway...  (by Bensbro)
If abused early in life, you have a choice: nurse the hurt or respond with love.  Humans who choose the former could learn a lot from Cora the Corgi.

Cora was raised on scraps “and had been kept outside for nearly her whole life.”  While starving, she desperately killed her abuser’s chickens.

That was the last straw.  A Facebook post offered to give Cora “away to the first person who came for her.”  When Madison Palm read this, she raced over to claim Cora.

Cora was in rough shape when Palm rescued her.  This neglected corgi had infected ears, rotten teeth, and filthy fur. But from the get go, “her personality was sweet and loving.”

Cora is now training to be a therapy dog.  She has a knack for knowing just who needs help, then providing it.  The abuse sharpened her compassion, rather than her claws.
