Prayer, Pride and Prejudice

President Trump’s remarks at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast were fraught with personal bias.

Often sugar-coated with humor, Trump’s for-and-against list was in full swing.  The president joked about praying for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Apprentice ratings, then described Rex Tillerson as one of history’s
“great, great secretaries.”  He included a plug for himself, saying that he hopes to be speaking at the next seven Prayer Breakfasts.

After including Roma Downey, Mark Burnett, Mike and Karen Pence in the mix, Trump remembered to mention God.  He said that the Creator “has blessed this land to give us such incredible heroes and patriots.”

Number One hero on Trump’s list is the mighty Man in the Mirror.  Give a listen: The world is in trouble, but we’re going to straighten it out.  OK?  That’s what I do.  I fix things.
