Lourdes' 70th

Miracles abound, and are quantified at Lourdes.

When nun Bernadette Moriau visited the famed Sanctuary in 2008, she did so with a wheelchair.  After four unsuccessful surgeries on her spinal column, she had been “fully disabled” since 1980.

Shortly after returning to her home convent from Lourdes, Moriau felt “relaxation, warmth” surging through her body.  While praying, she heard a voice telling her to remove the braces she had worn for years.  Amazingly, this nun was then able to move around freely.

Moriau recalls that she "immediately did away with all her aids… and took a 5 kilometer hike a few days later.”  Quite miraculous!

Bishop Nicolas Brouwet agrees, and therefore recently declared Moriau’s healing to be Lourdes’ 70th official “act of divine intervention.”
