Graham's conclusion: Pray more, speak less

Billy Graham in 1966   (Public Domain)
When looking back over his decades of preaching, Billy Graham had this to say:  I would study more. I would pray more, travel less, take less speaking engagements…  If I had it to do over again I’d spend more time in meditation and prayer and just telling the Lord how much I love him.

This is quite in line with advice that Jesus gave to his disciples. In Matthew 6, he says:  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

No need to "keep on babbling… for your Father knows what you [and others] need before you ask him.”  There is no need to micromanage God’s world.
