Claudia Kawas’ 90+ Study from the
University of California showed that a “moderate
amount of alcohol each day” lowered
the risk of “premature death” in
seniors. The study interpreted “moderate” to mean “two
glasses of wine or beer.”
But wouldn’t
that cause unhealthy weight gain? Not necessarily. In fact, the same study
concluded that seniors who were “overweight
in their 70s” lived longer than their
thinner counterparts.
Not fond of
alcohol? Then try coffee instead. Two cups per day increased the chances
of seeing tomorrow by 10%. Spending two hours per day on a hobby more
than doubled that beneficial
percentage.
