Not defined by disability

Someone who’s served 24 years in the Royal Marines need not be defined by disability.

Such was the thinking of Lee Spencer as he set out to break able-bodied records for rowing across the Atlantic.   In just 60 days, this one-legged veteran singlehandedly rowed from Europe to South America.   Along the way, he encountered “40ft waves” and slept for only two hours at a clip.

After reaching French Guiana, Spencer was more than ready for “a beer and relaxing.”
