Eclipse those distractions

Although it may be tempting to grab a camera during the upcoming solar eclipse, some things (perhaps all things) are meant to be experienced directly.

So put those toys away and summon your inner Zen.  Rather than rely upon vision alone, shift all your senses into high gear.  Note how the 
temperature drops as the sun blackens.  Note how “birds fall silent” and “nocturnal animals emerge.”

And that brightness over there? It’s not residual sunlight, but rather street lamps zapping on. Breathe it all in. This eerie event could be your wake-up call.
