Sherman's stand on Kaepernick's kneeling

Sometimes taking a stand means kneeling.  So it was when Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the National Anthem.

Now Richard Sherman is standing up for Kaepernick. Sherman is speaking out against the NFL injustice of shunning Kaepernick while endorsing players like Josh Brown (“amid a domestic violence issue”) and Ben Roethlisberger (“accused of rape twice”).

As Sherman so eloquently pointed out:  But it goes beyond football…  It’s unfair.  He’s [Kaepernick’s] out there sacrificing for more people than himself.

After all, what does our star spangled banner really symbolize?  It stands for freedom, including the precious right to protest.  If Kaepernick’s only “sin” is that he bravely exercised this right, then the NFL should grant him a hero’s welcome back.
