How much is 25 years worth?

More precious than gold...
The good news is that Desmond Ricks has been exonerated of the murder charge that kept him imprisoned for 25 years.  The bad news is that he lost 25 years of precious freedom.

A victim of what his attorney calls “horrific” misconduct,” Ricks is now suing for more than $100 million.  If this seems excessive, then what wouldn’t?  Who can put a price on that which is priceless?

Ricks had been framed by the Detroit police “for a fatal shooting outside a restaurant in 1992.”  The so-called evidence included two bullets that didn’t match up with the alleged
murder weapon.
