This kind of
a "Christmas miracle" occurred just
recently for a New Jersey couple. Michael Stanton had gifted his wife with a
diamond ring on their 20th wedding
anniversary. While cleaning the toilet,
she accidentally let it slip away.
Most couples
would have figured it gone
forever. But God helps those who help
themselves. Michael Stanton went into high
gear. He reached out to the Somers Point
Public Works Department, with hopes
of retrieving this precious symbol of
his marriage.
It took years,
but “a crew working on a manhole near
Stanton’s home spotted the ring.” It was returned to the happy couple shortly
before their 38th anniversary.
