world, avocado sales have become
quite profitable. Mexican drug cartels are reportedly “controlling
lucrative exports.”
“Iintensive
farming” practices are clearing
away forest land and burdening water supplies. Greenhouse emissions are on the
rise.
Are fancy
dips and salad garnishes all that
important? Importing such bounty might
not result in a kinder gentler
world.
