What Grace is All About

Some people think that grace is warm and fuzzy, sort of like newborn kittens.  Others think it’s all about salvation from this sorry old world.

But there’s another way of viewing this glorious gift.  The Exodus story tells of freedom from enslavement. This isn’t just physical freedom, but freedom from that which stunts our spiritual growth.

The Chicago Tribune recently reported on a doctor who sought forgiveness from the schoolmates he bullied years ago.  When these schoolmates forgave him, all reported a sense of tremendous freedom.

Although some remain cynical, those integrally involved had this to say:  It’s so freeing to fogive…  That’s what grace is all about.
