He
particularly mentioned Jeff Green, who underwent
major heart surgery in 2012. A routine
physical had revealed that Green was suffering
from a potentially life-threatening aortic aneurysm.
After this
Eastern Conference win, Green was asked
whether he had ever imagined such a
comeback. Jeff explained that, at the time,
he primarily focused upon health and simply getting back to the game.
Green is now
very much back in the game. A college
graduate who earned his degree studying
summers at Georgetown, Jeff had majored in
English and minored in theology. He expresses
himself beautifully, both on and off the
court, and eloquently offers thanks for
all of his God-given gifts.
