Concussive Evidence

(from Boston University Center for the Study of TE)
Just as John Urschel announced his retirement from professional football soon after alarming statistics from a study on CTE were published, Ben Roethlisberger is now considering the same.

This Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy study “from the VA Boston Healthcare System and Boston University School of Medicine” found that “of the 111 NFL players’ brains that were donated for study following their deaths, 110 were found to have CTE.”

Those are far from good odds for a long vibrant life.  Roethlisberger and his wife appear to be heavily influenced by such concerns.  He has already stated:  You can replace a lot of body parts, you can’t replace a brain.
