During the Rio Olympics, Bolt earned his third consecutive gold medal for the 100-meter dash.
Nevertheless, he wears a medal that is more precious yet: “the Miraculous Medal, as promulgated by French Saint Catherine Laboure (1806–1876).”
This Miraculous Medal features the Blessed Mother’s image, along with the following inscription: O, Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to
thee. As a devout Catholic, Bolt likely draws a great deal of strength from this prayer.
