'Beautiful' Usain St. Leo Bolt

On the day that the 2016 Olympics came to an exhilarating end, Usain (meaning “Beautiful”) St. Leo (for the namesake pope) Bolt turned 30.

During the Rio Olympics, Bolt earned his third consecutive gold medal for the 100-meter dash.  Nevertheless, he wears a medal that is more precious yet: “the Miraculous Medal, as promulgated by French Saint Catherine Laboure (1806–1876).”

This Miraculous Medal features the Blessed Mother’s image, along with the following inscription: O, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.  As a devout Catholic, Bolt likely draws a great deal of strength from this prayer.
