Yoko not a 'girl'

Although Paul McCartney claims to not have a sexist bone in his macho body, he refers to 83-year-old Yoko Ono as a “girl.”

During a recent Rolling Stone interview, McCartney admitted that Yoko’s presence within the Beatles’ recording studio had been hard to take.  He complained, “She was sitting on the amps while we were recording…  [not] to the side… [but] in the middle of the four of us.”

Most "girls" of the day were content to be benched.  Not Yoko.  Probably because, as Paul now puts it, “She’s so Yoko.”

Times have changed, and so has Paul.  At least somewhat.  Although he now feels close to Yoko, as well as to George Harrison’s wife Olivia, he sums them up in this manner: “The two girls are Beatles.”

We dare say that these accomplished women are so much more than just that.
