Rather than delving into root causes, the provider resorts to simplistic explanations such as “stress” or “hormones.” This can be especially prevalent with female and minority patients.
Clients should therefore be proactive when seeking relief. They can research alternatives while keeping careful track of symptoms. Second opinions are often in order. Physicians who are willing to seriously consider patient input can be most helpful.
