NASA’s Dr. Josef Schmid was recently holoported onto the International Space Station (ISS). His hologram was transported there in order to interact with the astronauts.
This two-way communication occurs in real time, which allows for “medical conferences.” It can also include visits from holographic celebrities, making ISS life a bit more bubbly.
