One of California’s many “COVID restrictions” had banned people from meeting within homes “for Bible study and prayer.” After comparing religious restrictions with secular allowances, the majority of justices felt that freedom of religion was coming up short.
When the ability to attend hair salons was favored over the ability to attend home-based prayer circles, something seemed amiss. After all, it’s often easier to maintain physical distance while praying than while primping.
