Free to Flee

If you’re visiting Germany and you happen to see a monkey swing by, rest assured that it’s not just your imagination.

Twenty-plus “Barbary macaque monkeys” recently escaped from the Loffingen zoo.  In the midst of some on-site construction, these primates were constructing a plan of their own.  Let’s just say they have yet to be caught.

Although desperate monkeys might do desperate things, zookeepers claim there is no threat to humans.  Nevertheless, people are “being urged to keep a safe distance” and not monkey around with these inmates on the run.
