If you think things are tough here on Earth, try surviving on K2-141b.
Otherwise known as “Hell” (with good reason), this exoplanet sports “lava oceans” that are fed by raining rocks. Fortunately, “hundreds of light years” separate all this from us.
So things could be worse on this blue ball of ours. Telescopes are certainly a great tool for keeping things in perspective.
