A Chesapeake doctor is currently being charged with “health care fraud” and with “making false statements.” It seems he’s been “performing unnecessary surgeries on
unsuspecting patients.” He is alleged to have “performed as many as 30 surgeries in one day.”
The “unsuspecting” part is where vigilance counts.
Patients need to do their homework concerning medical decisions.
Doctors are people, and people make mistakes. Self-advocacy and plenty of research help to offset such possibilities.
