Jupiter’s giant red spot was thought to be on its way to never-never land, but wait, not quite yet! Although it seems to be flaking into oblivion, this imagery might instead be due to a “shattered” cloud cover.
Leigh Fletcher from England’s University of Leicester therefore cautions, “We should be careful about making assumptions based on photos alone…”
