It's good to see green

If you live within concrete gray, get out and see green.  It could prolong your life.

Researchers from the Lancet Planetary Health study have found that green spaces can help urban dwellers to reach life expectancy and beyond.  Parks and lush backyards provide incentives for healthful outdoor exercise.  Vegetation helps to buffer the “blaring city racket” and can offset pollution.

Major cities are already taking this to heart.  Paris is encouraging the development of “sustainable urban farms,” while New York has already “turned 27% of its land into public green spaces.”
