Door-to-Door with Prince

An avid student of the Bible, Prince Rogers Nelson knocked on doors, and they were opened.  Quite literally.

Raised as a Seventh Day Adventist (thus a vegetarian), Prince later became a Jehovah’s Witness.  He explained that this was not so much a conversion as it was a realization.

As a JW, Prince spent time knocking on strangers’ doors in order to discuss his faith.  He also spent countless hours studying Scripture.  Most of all, this former “bad boy” tried to align his lifestyle with his newfound faith.

In 2010, Prince therefore announced:  I was pretty wild in my younger days.  You don’t have to do what I did.  You don’t have to make the same mistakes I made.  The future is in your hands.

Those who are currently honoring his legacy by partying like it’s 1999 might want to pay heed to Prince’s 2010 words.  A little less hoopla and a little more prayer might reach all the way to where doves fly.
