In a constellation far away, life forms might be emitting radio waves. At least that’s a theory being seriously discussed by Cornell University researchers.
Astronomer Jake Turner tells of a radio signal that seems to be coming from Tau Bootes, a star system 51 light years from Earth. This system is thought to contain a planetary magnetic field that is compatible with the signal’s “strength and polarization.” Further confirmation is needed, yet the possibilities are meanwhile intriguing.
