If pets are considered
“family,” then why
shouldn’t family-leave policies include
their needs? This is the thinking
of a digital-marketing company in
Minneapolis named Nina Hale, which allows
“employees with new pets to
work from home.”
Employees
can then take an active role in
potty-training their “fur babies.” After just a
couple of weeks, an employee may then be
ready to resume his or her former
office schedule.
