One of 44 (Photo by Tripp155) |
If you prefer
scanning the heavens, wondering
what forms of life might be out
there, then 44 could again be a lucky number.
That’s how many additional exoplanets
“have been recently
confirmed orbiting around their own
suns.”
University
of Tokyo students partnered
with NASA and the European
Space Agency to study these
extrasolar planets. Sixteen are somewhat
Earth-sized, and four “orbit
their host stars in less than 24
hours.” Talk about time going by
quickly!
