Rose-colored
urinals are doubling as flower
boxes on the city’s famed streets. These open-air relief stations are in full
view of passers-by. One that sits
near Notre Dame Cathedral even overlooks
the River Seine.
"Intelligent urinals" such as these “will
harness nutrients” for eco-friendly
endeavors. Betcha didn’t know that a
year’s worth of urine from just
one person “holds enough nitrogen,
phosphorous and potassium to fertilize
400 square meters of wheat.”
So as the
French say: Bon appetit!
