Nevada Desert Experience is one such group. Members recently completed a 60-mile peace walk from Las Vegas to the Nevada Nuclear Security Site (NNSS).
Along the way, walkers received interfaith blessings, camped in the desert, visited the Temple of Goddess Spirituality, and held peace vigils at Creech Air Force Base. Some engaged in ritual nonviolent resistance by (literally) crossing the line at NNSS.
This year's walk coincided with the most sacred times of both Judaism and Christianity: Passover and Passion Week. Mother Nature then topped it off with a bright and brighter moon.
