Nevertheless,
there’s an effort underway to map out
our galaxy. The European Space Agency
(ESA) recently “released the most
accurate census yet of stars” to be found there.
In doing so,
scientists “gained new insights into the
life cycle of stars and how the Milky Way was
formed.” Astronauts may one day utilize such data in their journeys through time
and space. It’s a bit more complicated than
Mapquest, but functional nevertheless.
