Ancient interfaith temple?

In the Temple of Kom Ombo, archaeologists recently discovered “multiple pieces of a King Ramses II statue,” as well as a bust of the philosophical Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Previously, archaeologists have also found evidence that the temple was “dedicated to two different gods… Sobek and Haroeris.”  All this evidence indicates that ancient Egyptians of the “modern state era” had some interfaith tendencies.

Sobek was a protective crocodile-looking god, who was associated with safety and military prowess.  Falcon-headed Haroeris was originally the son of sun-god Ra, and therefore became known as the god of light.
