Amazon is teaching 'em young

Real parents and the real Amazon have been disappearing fast. Virtual Amazon will therefore have plenty of gaps to fill.

So don’t worry about teaching kids manners.  Amazon’s Echo Dot speakers are on the job.  The “voice assistants” that lurk inside will be quick to thank “kids for shouting out questions

‘nicely.’”

And if kids are mean enough to kick Echo Dot down the stairs, no harm done.  The $80 version can be easily replaced if it breaks, as opposed to the medical hassles of flesh-and-blood kin.

Sounds warm and fuzzy, but don’t be fooled.  Teaching ‘em young can create brand loyalty for life.  Alexa knows that because Alexa knows everything.
