Dwayne
Clark, once "dirt poor" and now CEO of Aegis
Living, left a $3000 tip at the Brief
Encounter Café in Washington D.C. along with
this message: Hopefully, this will help all of you have a better Christmas.
Clark then recalled
his own childhood struggles. By age seven, he was washing dishes while
his mother “cooked in a diner just like
this.” He therefore witnessed “how hard” his
mother “worked for people who weren’t
always appreciative.”
You don’t
have to be a CEO to appreciate those who
work hard for others. A simple thank-you can
go a long way toward nourishing
heart and soul.
