According to a month-long study of 61 Harvard students’ sleep patterns, “those who stuck to the same sleep routine” fared better than those with varied bedtimes.
Even though all slept for the same amount of hours per day, those with consistent schedules had better results.
This seems to indicate that consistent routines are as important as the actual “number of hours one sleeps.” A study from Baylor University also showed that “the more irregular the students’ sleep schedule, the worse they performed throughout the week.”
