PARADISE lost and found

(Public Domain)
Readers of John Milton might feel that Paradise Lost was enough the first time around.  Such epic details about the Fall of Man have a way of sticking in the craw.

Nevertheless, it’s difficult to shake such a fundamental archetype.  Just recently, the concept of “paradise lost” resurfaced in a most literal way.  People reports that the famed “Welcome to Key West” sign was blown 300 miles away during Hurricane Irma.  This sign boasts that Key West is “PARADISE USA.”

When the sign washed up on Fort Myers Beach, it was instantly recognizable as THE Key West landmark.  All’s well that ends well:  PARADISE lost is now PARADISE found.
