Imagine a barrel with about 5.8 billion balls in it.  Then imagine randomly picking one.  What are the chances of picking a ball that’s better than the one you’ve been born with?

According to Warren Buffet, these balls represent the human gene pool.  Each person has received one at birth.  These birthright balls largely determine such traits as "IQ level, gender, ethnicity, skills..." 

If you could have a do-over, would you take that chance?  Sure, you could end up with a billionaire’s ball, or with a genius’ ball, but there’s a slim chance of that.  Buffet theorizes that it’s a far better bet to appreciate and maximize

what you already have.
